Get help if someone posts intimate content of you without your permission

Finding out that someone put your private images or videos online without your consent can be devastating. Here are some resources to help you take action and get the support you might need.

As always, if you feel as though your physical safety or the safety of another person may be in jeopardy, we suggest that you contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.

Open a case with us and provide the following details:

  • Let us know that you appear in an intimate image without your consent
  • Yahoo ID of reported user, if available (if not, enter Not available)
  • URL of the search results page
  • URL of the content you're reporting
  • Search terms used to find the content
  • Any other relevant information that may help in our investigation
  • An accurate email address

Info we may request for action

We might ask you to provide us with the following information during our investigation:

  • A legible copy of your photo ID (passport, driver's license, or state issued ID)
  • The URL where the content is posted
