Temporarily disable security programs

In rare cases, antivirus, antispyware, and firewall programs can block scripts or features that are essential to Yahoo pages. If you're having trouble using interactive features in Yahoo products, temporarily disable these programs to see if they're the cause.

Find the cause of the error

  1. Disable your antivirus, antispyware, and firewall programs one at a time.

  2. After you disable each program, check to see if you're still having a problem with the page or feature.
    - If the problem no longer occurs, the disabled security software was the cause of the problem.
  3. Enable your anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall programs.

Resolve the problem

Once you've found the program that's causing the problem, check your security software manufacturer's help pages. It should be possible to configure the security software to avoid a conflict with the Yahoo page or feature.
